Final Advert Design

Following today's photo shoot, we managed to get some new photos to use for improving both the advert and the digipak. Here is the new improved advert now featuring both myself and Toby as band members with a better camera capable of higher quality images.

Time Management Update

I have manageed to complete the overall designs of my Digipk and Advert. Today I am hoping to start getting feedback on my print material and video and to start work on my evaulation work. I am proposing that I should post the design and video as attachments to emails, sending them to other members in the group and getting their opinions through emailed replies.

Third Digipak Design

Due to a last minute crisis we have had to change the artist label from Kudos Records to Island Records because of the genre of music being poorly matched and we also had to remove the made up artist names and say that Fight the Bear sang all the songs as most Digipaks have all their featured songs sung by one main featured artist.

Second Digipak Design

I have changed several images from the space themed images of the previous design ideas because we have now started to use images from the rough cut of the video to give it more indie feel and the coulors are more bright which gives it a lighter feel. For example nearly all of the images feature me because i am the key character in the narrative and most independent arrtists do the same thing.

I've taken out the blue colour scheme and have used more of the black, white and red colour scheme that I have been trying to achieve. I've chose to use the moon as the image of the cd holder as it's circular in shape which can serve as a metaphor for the cd and it's also drawing attention to the main background image.

Rough cut of Music Video

Heres a rough cut video on what we've done so far following editing of the original footage. This has been posted on Youtube and so far we have managed to get about ten views. We may need to try and get some Audience Feedback by showing the video to other members of the college and encourage them to write comments on the video.

Colour Ideas

Since the genre I am going to be focusing on is indie pop, it's only natural that my colour scheme should be very bright which is why i have chosen to use black, white and red for the main background of the front cover as it's going to be a a wide shot of the expanse of space and the colours stand out from each other the most because they are completely different from one another and red is a colour that stands out from both black and white
